Teamsters Local 848’s Eric Tate, Senator Bernie Sanders in Washington D.C. for New Port Driver’s Bill of Rights legislation

Today, Local 848 Secretary-Treasurer Eric Tate spent a few hours (literally) in Washington DC today to fight for members – current and future! – driving trucks to and from America’s largest port complex. Brother Tate’s voice was strong, both at a press conference in front of the US Capital at which US Representatives Napolitano, Nadler, Lowenthal, and Barragan introduced legislation to address the badly flawed employment practices at the ports, and at a private meeting with Senator Bernie Sanders.
